Many people assume that as long as a contractor uses polyurethane, their concrete raising project will be successful and last a long time.

For this project, we utilized multiple systems to greatly decrease our time on site. Several hundred feet of sidewalks were raised and leveled to remedy trip hazards and improve drainage.

Concrete Sidewalk Raising at Executive Airport

This project is a great representation of how sunken, but otherwise perfectly functional, concrete can be saved - quickly and economically!

The Fountains of Arlington is a condominium community developed in the mid-2010s by Gettysburg Development Corp. This community is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, on the former site of the Goebbert and Sons farm and farm stand. Since its construction, the exterior concrete surfaces have suffered from extensive sinking, causing drainage issues and trip hazards throughout the property.

In summary, this project involved:

- Over 600 feet of sidewalks
- Access ramp stabilization
- Remedying trip hazards
- Solving drainage issues

Acme utilized high-density polyurethane, meeting the compressive strength requirements of the Illinois Tollway. This material was used to raise and stabilize the slabs using a specialized air-purged injector system which promotes proper material flow & spread beneath the concrete.
